well...hmmm...i wasnt gonna blog..i was gonna go 2 bed, but i thought, what the hell...assuming, that is, that i can keep the dialup long enough to post...damn thing has disconnected me like 5 times in the last half hour :\

our electricity got cut off yesterday (tuesday)...i was pissed cuz buffy was on last nite and one of the characters died and another one went all nutty and i wanted 2 see it...but it'll be on again this summer so what the hay, i'll see it then
it actually turned out 2 be a really kinda good nite all things considered...gary got home from work kinda early ( i think as i didnt have a clock in the house that isnt electricly powered) and we went out, got an alarm clock with a battery, some food, and came home...we ate...and talked...and then played cards for like 4 hours or so...it was fun..he kicked my ass at gin, i won go fish, and we sorta tied in poker, even tho he ended up with more money, but he took a loan out so there :p then of course we had the sex...aheh

but one thing that we were thinkin bout...and that we talked about...was what an excellent way to gauge your relationship...you could probly learn more about your relationship and its worth in 24 hours without power (costs nothing) than you could in 6 months of costly therapy. cuz, if you can actually sit in one room without the everyday distractions we all take for granted like the phone (which is cordless so useless without power), the tv, the everpresent computer, the radio, and eventually you cant even read unless you have battery powered lamps or like 100 candles, and not kill each other, but actually talk and interact with one another, i'd say your relationship is pretty solid. if you can actually have a good time...bank on it, you're where you belong.

i would even go so far as to recommend it...and don't just turn things off...unplug them..if you live in your own house, find a way to cut your own power...and see if you can just spend a whole day or night together, just the two of you...if you have any questions about your relationship i pretty much promise by the end of the night, they'll be answered.

good luck...and for godsakes, don't go grocery shopping any time before you plan 2 do this...thank god our credit card was declined the other day otherwise we woulda had an entire fridge full of spoiled food...
