wow...ok rosi had something very interesting to say. not that she doesnt always have interesting things to say but...o geez..i hope i can still type from the bottom of this hole i dug myself into :)
anyway...i believe that there's a god...and i believe that we go someplace when we die..mostly cuz im convinced that i've seen it before...but years back i was experimenting with astral projection and read something interesting...the book i was reading was a sort of course on it...a way to study about it in hopes of being able to do it. as such, they explored all the possibilities about it, all the aspects relating to it. and since most people believe that what happens when you have an out of body experience is its your soul leaving your body for a brief period of time, the reserved quite a bit of the book to talk about the soul and people's beliefs about it. one thing they said is that each and every soul is connected, like they all come out of one great big ball of energy so to speak. and as each part (or individual soul) goes out into the 'world' or whatever, that it is going out to learn. and so before birth, the soul searches out other souls from which it can learn something that it feels it needs to learn...so in other words, before we are born, we in a manner of speaking, choose our parents, or more importantly, their souls because they can teach us something. and what these people thought is that we just keep doing this until we learn all that we need to know, and then the soul either moves on to a different type of exsitance or else it reunites with the whole to pass on it's knowledge. i guess that can be called reincarnation, but reincarnation implies that you just keep coming back forever and ever and ever, whereas this seems to be that you only go on until you have learned everything you are supposed to learn, and then you're done. so, whether or not we should hope that if our bodies are frozen, our souls will be there when we are thawed out, i dunno...you can look at it both ways. either the soul has learned everything it needs to learn in this life, and it moves on, leaving the body empty, even if it is resurrected. or else the soul knows that it needs to stick around because that is another lesson it needs to learn and so it waits for the body to be brought back to life. so then the next question is, if it's years, does the soul experience that time as we do now, while alive?...or is it like dog years vs. people years? but that brings up a whole nother topic that i am just not smart enough to delve into :)
