i just had a thought...yes, it did hurt....

here's my thought...any of our online friends who are within semi-comfortable driving distance and have no plans on saturday should make the trip to mall of america...it would be a great chance for us to meet!

for whatever reason, i have held off on posting this...maybe because i was waiting for the other shoe to drop, as it were. any time something like this comes along in my life, something always happens to screw it up. but it actually looks like i might get to do this. on saturday, july 27th, 2002 Def Leppard are going to be at Mall Of America for an autograph signing/live performance to promote their next album "X", due out July 30th (YAY!)...AND I GET TO GO!!!!!...originally, my schedule for this week had me off tuesday, friday, saturday, and sunday...then i found out i have to work sunday...no biggie, it's an open so at least i don't have to close. then i found out about this autograph signing thingie and i didn't get as excited as one would think i would be about it. next day, i find out i hafta work saturday also...figures...BUT....i found out today that if i even hafta go in at all, it won't be til around 7pm...and that's even doubtful....YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!! i am so excited i can't even hardly breathe when i think about it...i have this big huge goofy grin on my face even now as i'm typing this...i so cannot wait...i have been to 3 of their concerts (all during the Adrenalize tour) and have missed every show that has been even remotely close to me since. i am gonna buy like 4 packs of batteries for the digi cam and bring the extra disks and maybe i'll get lucky enough to have a pic taken with them, but even if i don't i will definately get lots of pics of them while i'm there. nothing like this has ever happened to me...i've never gotten to meet anybody famous, and i was completely obsessed with them a few years ago. so i just totally cannot wait! i will post whatever pics i get here when we get home...and i just hafta say thanks to gary's sister, Lynn, for telling me about this.

oh yeah, and gary is so totally cool...i asked him if he wouldn't mind going and told him why and without even the slightest hesitation, he said yes...the biggest mall in the country, on a saturday, during the day...and he didn't even wait a second before he said yes...i love you so much...u mah niggah!
